Position Purpose and Objectives

The Associate Customer Service Representative works with clients in need of printed labels, flexible packaging, and folding cartons for estimates, orders, general inquiries, and accounting issues through a large volume of email correspondence and phone conversations. This individual partners with other team members to help see orders through production, helping to resolve issues along the way and keeping clients informed as necessary.

Essential Job Functions
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer and sales representative requests by email and phone.
  • Ability to learn in-house quoting tool for labels, flexible packaging, and folding cartons.
  • Order entry and processing of jobs using internal MIS system and SAP software.
  • Information entered is highly sensitive so candidate must be detail-oriented.
  • Provide customers with information about the printing methods and materials we offer, as well as working with clients to obtain usable art files.
  • Complete detailed forms with accuracy that help move orders through production.
  • Project a professional and positive company image to internal and external clients.
  • Work with the accounting team to resolve client billing issues.
  • Assist production team and management in resolving simple and complex customer issues, documenting along the way.
  • Candidate must be extremely motivated and willing to learn.
  • The workload can vary greatly from day-to-day, so flexibility and the ability to work under pressure is key.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • A background in printing or printing customer service is preferred. Candidates with experience related to labels, flexible packaging, and/or folding cartons would be ideal.
  • Must be computer literate with the ability to learn specialized systems and software applications related to your duties, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, SAP, and more.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to speak and write fluently in English.
  • Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 30 WPM.
  • Experience with digital printing, labels, folding cartons, and flexible packaging, and a willingness to expand your knowledge.
  • Attention to detail and superior organizational skills.

Packaging Machine Operator

Packaging Machine Operator

Position Purpose and Objectives

Responsibilities of the Packaging Machine Operator will include the ability to operate all equipment to an acceptable operation level and be required to backfill the section lead as needed. This person will also be required to perform cleaning and sanitation duties as needed.

Essential Job Functions
  • Operate and monitor production line(s) to ensure efficiency
  • Remove or shift material and/or finished product to facilitate proper flow
  • Ensure package and product quality
  • Perform the set up on the line(s)
  • Operate all manufacturing equipment (including new equipment) efficiently and safely
  • Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift

Packaging Operator

Position Purpose and Objectives

The Packaging Operator works in the last phase of the manufacturing line and performs the duties related to packing, labeling, storage, and shipment of the finished products. They are responsible for various duties in a manufacturing cGMP facility.

Essential Job Functions
  • Arranging products in packaging
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations applicable in the packaging area
  • Packing the finished products through automated procedures, per set specifications
  • Stocking up packaging materials such as plastic sheets, wrapping paper, boxes, cartons, labels, ink, glue, etc.
  • Moving finished packaged items from machine and separating rejected items
  • Keeping inventory of finished and rejected packaged items
  • Ensuring quality and conformity of packaged products according to the standards
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards
  • Removing finished packaged items from machine and separating rejected items
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging materials
  • Monitoring the production line, watching for problems such as labeling, neckbanding, and sealing
  • Count and record finished and rejected packaged items
  • Clean packaging containers; line and assemble cartons to prepare for the product packing
  • Document the quantities in Finish Good Product in SAP

  • Must complete all the tasks within given time, without supervision

Production Mechanic

Production Mechanic

Position Purpose and Objectives

The Production Mechanic maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment as described in all relevant SOPs, equipment manuals and FDA guidelines. Responsible for installing, repairing and monitoring production and packaging machinery. This is a mid-level position with exposure to electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.

Essential Job Functions
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on equipment such as encapsulation machines, rotary tablet presses, blister packaging machines, coating machines, printers, secondary packaging equipment, electric, electronic, pneumatic, and dust collection systems.
  • Follows diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications and GMP-compliant SOPs.
  • Performs all manufacturing and packaging equipment line set-up and change-over procedures.
  • Evaluates the condition of equipment during setups and reports any needed repairs or excessive wear to the supervisor and/or Lead Production Mechanic.
  • Ensures proper cleanliness and assembly of all manufacturing and packaging equipment as per XYMOGEN SOPs.
  • Performs repairs, tuning of equipment and project work as assigned and directed.
  • Inspect for defects, misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication and determines best process for making repairs with limited interruption to production.
  • Fabricates parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Works with outside vendors who are onsite during special projects.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all applicable cGMP procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Performs all duties in a safe and collaborative manner and immediately reports any potentially dangerous conditions or other safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Completes root-cause and wear-and-tear analysis by inspecting equipment; using specialized measuring equipment.
  • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports and completes cGMP-compliant documentation by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Controls downtime by informing and coordinating with production management about routine preventative maintenance procedures; monitoring compliance.
  • Provides mechanical technical information by answering questions and requests while maintaining a teamwork mentality and positive professional attitude.
  • Helps out other maintenance personnel as required.
  • Reports when a temporary fix has been made.
  • Accounts for all parts and tools once work has been completed.

Regulatory Associate

Regulatory Associate

Position Purpose and Objectives

The Regulatory Associate is a senior-level member of the Regulatory Affairs Department. He/She is third in command to the Regulatory Affairs Director. They are responsible to support compliance efforts in development, implementation, and oversite of compliance measures to ensure facility-wide adherence to and other applicable regulations and certifications (including NSF, TGA, DSHEA, CFR, and cGMP practices). The Regulatory Associate is responsible for special projects and support of general department workload including, but not limited to, product complaint handling, non-conformances, supplier qualification, CAPA investigations and documentation, and managing product recalls.

Essential Job Functions
  • Support oversight into day-to-day compliance to FDA, TGA, NSF, USDA, and other standards
  • Develop and review policies and SOPs to ensure they are compliant with current regulations
  • Support of department workload in areas such as product complaints, audit support, supplier qualification, label reviews, legal research
  • Facilitating product recalls and quality system training program
  • Support International Product Registration efforts
  • Facilitate and participate in Regulatory efforts in Quality and Compliance audits by regulatory and certification bodies including, but not limited to, FDA, TGA, NSF, USDA, OSHA, EPA, etc.
  • Manage regulatory observation audit reports and responses
  • Develop special project plans and execute plans in conjunction with the Regulatory Director

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform standard cleaning procedures as documented and trained for equipment and facilities. This includes application of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, scrubbing, and rinsing.
