Does Stress Age You? Understanding the Connection Between Stress and Longevity

Stress is a normal part of modern life. Virtually everyone experiences it, whether occasionally or fairly regularly. Still, stress that feels more constant than occasional could take a toll.

Chronic stress can cause various negative health effects, from an overwhelmed nervous system stimulation to compromised immune function to strained social relationships.1 This has many people wondering about its impact on long-term wellness and longevity. So, does stress age you?
