Robert
Rountree, M.D. is XYMOGEN®’s Medical Director and
also serves on its Board of Advisors. Dr. Rountree
received his medical degree from the University of North
Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill. He is
certified by the American Board of Family Practice and a
Diplomate of the American Board of Holistic Medicine and
has been a successful clinician in Boulder, CO for
more than 20 years.
Dr. Rountree was voted “Best
Physician of the Year” by Alternative Therapies magazine
and recognized in Strathmore’s Who’s Who for Outstanding
Professionals, 2006. He is one of the original and a
current faculty member of IFM’s Applied Functional
Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) training course
and author of the chapter “Immune Imbalances and
Inflammation” in the Textbook of Functional Medicine.
Dr. Rountree co-authored numerous books on complementary
medicine including The New Breastfeeding Diet, Smart
Medicine for a Healthier Child, Second Edition, A
Natural Guide to Pregnancy and Postpartum Health,
Immunotics, A Revolutionary Way to Get Well and Stay
Well and several others. He is the Medical/Technical
Editor/Advisory Board member for several health journals
including: Alternative and Complementary Therapies,
Delicious Living magazine, Journal of American
Nutraceutical Association and others. Dr. Rountree was
published in Newsweek magazine. He is also on the
advisory board for the Herb Research Foundation.
Dr. Rountree co-authored numerous books on complementary

Brian Blackburn
CEO, Co Founder XYMOGEN, Inc.
As CEO of XYMOGEN, Brian guides the
company’s growth and success in close cooperation with
executive management and the board of directors. He
began his career in the physician based, nutritional
sciences industry more than 25 years ago, focusing
primarily in the areas of Research & Development and
Natural Ingredient sourcing. In 2003, along with Will
McCamy and Medical Director, Robert Rountree, M.D., he
researched, developed and launched the XYMOGEN line of
professional formulas. Prior to launching XYMOGEN, Brian
was President of the most successful independent
distributorship for the largest company in the
practitioner-based nutrition market. Building on his
background in Biochemistry and Post-Graduate Education,
Brian has developed Functional Medicine Continuing
Education Programs that have been presented extensively
to thousands of physicians across the U.S. since 1995.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from
John Carroll University.

Will McCamy
President, Co Founder XYMOGEN, Inc.
Will is responsible for the management
and oversight of worldwide sales, marketing,
manufacturing operations and quality control for XYMOGEN.
With nearly 14 years experience in the physician based
nutritional sciences industry, he co-founded XYMOGEN in
2003. He plays an integral role in oversight and
management of XYMOGEN’s business development and
strategic partnerships and works closely with XYMOGEN’s
Medical Director, Robert Rountree, MD and its Medical
Board of Advisors to align the clinical and scientific
basis for its formulas and educational programs. Will
has lectured extensively to physicians throughout the
country on the application of functional nutrition in
the clinical practice. He received his Bachelor of
Science degree in Finance from the University of
Florida.

Marc Lajeunesse
COO, XYMOGEN, Inc
Marc holds responsibility for the
management, growth and success of XYMOGEN’s business
operations. He brings more than twenty years of proven
leadership, business management and international
experience to XYMOGEN’s executive team. Especially
relevant to XYMOGEN’s focus is Marc’s international
experience, most recently as President & Founder of Nena
International, Inc, an international specialty
ingredients provider to the natural foods industry.
Marc’s diverse experience and background in launching
successful companies will help XYMOGEN’s current and
future growth initiatives. Marc is fluent in 4 languages
and earned an MBA from Rollins College Crummer Graduate
School of Business. |

Mike Mahoney
Vice President, Medical Education and Marketing XYMOGEN,
Inc.
Mike oversees the development and execution of XYMOGEN’s
Sales and Strategic Marketing initiatives and works
closely with the company’s well tenured consultant sales
team. Mike brings a wealth of industry knowledge that
encompasses 14 years of experience in the fields of
nutrition and natural medicine. He has cultivated
relationships at high levels in a large number of
medical offices, hospitals and institutions across the
country. His contacts and highly regarded reputation in
the industry are well known as he is a sought after
speaker and consultant. He received his Bachelor of
Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Fort Hays
State University. |

Bettina
Newman, R.D. graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BSFN
from the State University of NY College at Buffalo. She
has worked in a national medical research facility, in
acute and long term care, as an adjunct instructor and
had a private practice for more than 20 years. The late
Dr. Robert C. Atkins hired Bettina in 1974, thus
beginning a 30+ year professional relationship that
included his ongoing mentorship. She was the Chief
Nutritionist for the Diet Revolution Centers® and later
worked within the Atkins’s Center. Bettina contributed
to several of Dr. Atkins’ books, magazines and
supplement formulations. She is the author of, Lose
Weight the Smart Low Carb Way. Bettina is currently
XYMOGEN’s Medical Writer, Tech Support and a Functional
Medicine Consultant.

Linnette
M. Beck, AP, DOM, Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM),
a primary care
physician at the Beck Natural Medicine Center in
Melbourne, Florida, specializes in toxin-induced
syndromes. A Florida-licensed Acupuncture Physician,
Linnette is nationally board certified as a Diplomate in
Acupuncture and is a graduate of the Institute of
Functional Medicine's Applied Functional Medicine in
Clinical Practice Program. She received her Acupuncture
Physician diploma from the Shanghai Institute of Chinese
Medicine and her Oriental Medical Doctorate from the
Open International University of Complementary Medicine
through her graduation from the Acupuncture-Acupressure
Institute. Linnette holds numerous certifications in
Acupuncture, German biological medicine, homeopathy,
homotoxicology, functional medicine, electro-dermal
screening and addictionology. She holds a B.S. in
Business Administration and an MBA and M.S. Management
degrees as well.

Nancy
Eklund, M.D., listed for several years as one of
Miami’s “top doctors,” is the founder of the Miami
Center for Holistic Healing. A board-certified family
physician, she blends over two decades of experience in
traditional family medicine with herbal remedies,
bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, hypnosis, and
mind-body therapies. Dr. Eklund is certified in Florida
by the American Board of Holistic Medicine. She served
as Medical Director of South Miami Hospital’s
Collaborative Medicine program and its Center for
Women’s Medicine and is currently chair of the ethics
committee. She was Associate Professor of Family
Medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine
where she still teaches on a voluntary basis. |

Peter Fallon, RPh,
Peter Fallon, BS is a Functional Medicine Practitioner
and Educator. Mr. Fallon earned his Bachelor of Science
in Pharmacy degree from the Albany College of Pharmacy
in 1974 in New York and has a variety of certifications.
He is CEO of Fallon Wellness Pharmacy, a PCAB-accredited
compounding pharmacy in Albany that provides Functional
Medicine consultative services on hormone balancing and
a wide range of health conditions. In addition to the
valuable service Mr. Fallon provides XYMOGEN as a BOA
member, he is Vice President of Product Development and
Application for Pharmavitae Corporation. He teaches the
Functional Medicine clinical rotation as an adjunct
faculty member of Albany College of Pharmacy. Mr. Fallon
lectures extensively to community and physician
organizations and frequently contributes to the news
media. |

Norton L.
Fishman, MD, FACP, CNS is a true MD ( Medical
Detective). Board certified in Internal Medicine and
Geriatric Medicine as well as a Certified Nutrition
Specialist (CNS), he is the founder and Medical Director
of Optimal Health Physicians in Rockville, Maryland. Dr.
Fishman focuses on evaluating and treating individuals
with complex, undiagnosed (or misdiagnosed), persistent
conditions. He integrates the best of conventional
medicine and technology with alternative & natural
choices, nutritional and herbal medicine.
Dr. Fishman has enhanced his
excellent training at the University of Illinois Medical
School and the Mayo Clinic with many years as a
clinician in private practice, Medical Director of
nursing homes, preceptor of medical students, and as an
accomplished speaker on topics in health care and
medicine.

Christopher Foley, M.D.
graduated from Notre Dame and completed his medical
education at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
After 18 years of practicing Internal Medicine he left
private practice to direct the opening of one of the
first clinics designed to mix alternative therapies with
mainstream medicine. Dr. Foley developed an
integrative care model emphasizing patient-centered care
in a hospital setting. Ultimately, he transformed his
work into Minnesota Natural Medicine, a “functional
integrative” practice attracting national attention as a
model grounded in functional health principles, patient
education and collaboration, along with the latest in
information technology. Dr. Foley is part time faculty
and a frequent public speaker.

Charles
Gant, M.D., Ph.D., N.M.D. received his BS in
Chemistry from Hampden-Sydney College, his medical
degree from the University of Virginia Medical School,
his Ph.D. in Psychology from Columbia Pacific University
and his N.M.D. from the American Naturopathic Medical
Association.
During his three decades of
practicing Integrative Medicine Dr. Gant has been a
psychiatric consultant at several hospitals and clinics
and pioneered many of the nutritional treatments for
addictions. He has devised nutritional and neuro-nutrient
treatments for nicotine, alcohol and drug abuse problems
and mental disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, depression
and bipolar disorder currently duplicated throughout the
world.

Haase, M.D. received his MD from Vanderbilt
University School of Medicine, and completed his
Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is
Board Certified in Family Medicine and Holistic
Medicine, is a Certified Health Coach, a Board-Eligible
Weight Loss Specialist through the American Board of
Bariatric Medicine, and a Certified Nutrition Specialist
through the American College of Nutrition. He is proud
to have served as a reviewer for the recently published
"Textbook of Functional Medicine." Dr. Haase has a
driving passion to seek out and implement the most
effective, safe, and evidence-based health-care
solutions to proactively advance the health of those
patients he serves. He currently practices functional
medicine and is founder of the MaxWell Clinic for
Proactive Medicine in Clarksville, TN

Douglas
Hall, M.D. has been practicing medicine for more
than 34 years having earned his Doctor of Medicine
degree from University of Florida in 1970 and his
fellowship in Obstetrics & Gynecology. He has full
hospital privileges in two Ocala hospitals one of which
he is a former Chief of Staff. Dr. Hall is a national speaker
and author on hormone-related topics. He is a graduate
of the AFMCP course given by the Institute of Functional
Medicine and has attended hundreds of hours of
postgraduate courses in Integrative Medicine. Dr. Hall
is a passionate and innovative practitioner with a great
thirst for knowledge and understanding.

Harvey, M.D. received his Doctorate in the Art of
Medicine in 1984 from Jefferson Medical College of
Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. A
diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine
with special qualifications in Geriatrics, also a
founding diplomate of the American Board of Holistic
Medicine. In practice for 20 years with 11 devoted to
Functional Medicine, as a holistic physician his goal is
the optimal wellness of his patients. Besides
conventional medical techniques, Dr. Harvey and his
staff at the Harvey Center for Integrative Medicine in
Sarasota, FL employ a variety of complementary health
modalities including nutritional supplementation,
homeopathy, toxic metal chelation therapy and others to
provide a comprehensive, fully integrated treatment plan
designed specifically for the needs of each individual.

Jim Johnson, DC, DACBN
earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1976. He is
a Diplomat in Clinical Nutrition through the American
Clinical Board of Nutrition. Dr Jim practiced in Cooper
City, Florida before moving to North Carolina in 2000.
Dr Johnson and his wife Dr Resa Johnson also a DACBN
have three clinics in Western North Carolina. Mountain
Air Wellness Centers located in Cashiers, Highlands and
Asheville currently practice functional medicine,
chiropractic and acupuncture. |

James B. LaValle, R.Ph., N.D.,
C.C.N. is an educator, clinician, and industry
consultant in the field of Integrative Health Care. He
is a licensed pharmacist, a board certified clinical
nutritionist and a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. Jim
is an adjunct associate professor in the College of
Pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati, a preceptor in
the Department of Family Medicine, University of
Cincinnati College of Medicine, and is a faculty
instructor in The Clinical Nutrition program at New York
State Chiropractic College. Jim has more than 20 years
clinical practice experience in the field of natural and
integrative therapeutics and functional metabolism and
is currently in clinical practice at the LaValle

he founded.

Susan Luck, RN, BS, MA, HNC,
CCN, is a holistic health consultant and has been a
pioneer in Holistic Nursing education. A certified
holistic nurse (HNC) and a certified clinical
nutritionist (CCN), Susan has been practicing in a
variety of clinical and integrative health care settings
both in the U.S. and abroad, and has served as a medical
anthropologist specializing in cross-cultural
perspectives on health and healing. She founded the
Integrative Nursing Institute and The EarthRose
Institute (www.earthrose.org). The later provides
education on the environmental links to children’s and
women’s health. Susan is a national speaker and has
written and published extensively on the role of nursing
in a holistic health paradigm. |

Kirk A Melville M.D.
graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1982
and completed a combined residency in Emergency
Medicine/Internal Medicine from Akron Regional Medical
Center in 1986. Approximately fours years into practice,
Dr. Melville became discouraged by observing the many
side effects of prescribed allopathic drugs. Around this
same time, his wife, Elizabeth Schultz D.O., FACOG was
investigating integrative medical modalities pertaining
to gynecology. In 1993, she opened NEWS, an integrative
medical clinic providing optimal aging and wellness. In
1998, Dr Melville left the emergency/urgent care setting
to integrate his general medical training at NEWS. He is
currently the Medical Director of its Internal
Medicine/General Practice Division. Dr. Melville, Dr.
Schultz and Mel McDonald ND, DOM, LAc offer innovative
modalities in integrative medicine.

George R. Moon, D.C. earned
a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1964 and a Masters
Degree in Applied Preventive and Therapeutic Clinical
Nutrition in 1976. He has been Board Certified in
Clinical Nutrition by American Clinical Board of
Nutrition since 1986. He practices Functional Medicine,
Clinical Ecology and Clinical Nutrition in addition to
functional biomechanics as a Chiropractic Physician.
Dr. Moon practices in Naples,
Florida with son, Dr. Robert L. Moon and daughter, Dr.
Trudy Moon Eisel. Both are also chiropractors and hold
Bachelor degrees in Nutrition; both are likewise Board
Certified by the ACBN. Dr. Moon’s wife of 43 years,
Wanda Moon is his Office Manager and Finance Officer.

Michael Payne, MSRC, C.N.
is a former investment
banker who had various neurological and autoimmune
conditions that lead to disability. He entered
functional medicine in order to recover his own life.
Mike graduated in 2000 from VCU/Medical College of
Virginia with a Masters of Science degree in
Rehabilitation Counseling. Michael has continuing
studies with the Functional Medicine Institute and is a
Board Certified Nutrition Specialist from the American
College of Nutrition. His current interests are in
nutrigenomic testing and nutritional support. Michael
provides counseling to more than 1000 children and 400
adults with autism spectrum disorder, multi-chemical
sensitivities, chronic fatigue and auto-immune disorders
in the center of excellence he founded and calls,
“Living Well Today”. Mike is a sought-after public and
professional speaker.

Richard Powers, D.C.
studied a premedical curriculum at Tulane University and
the University of Connecticut, and in 1980 received his
doctorate in chiropractic medicine. Dr. Powers, author
and Certified Health Coach, is well-versed in the fields
of biological and functional medicine, clinical
nutrition, dietary guidance, exercise physiology,
homeopathic medicine, electro acupuncture, and weight
management. He established the Holistic Healing Center
in Atlanta, and co-founded the Holistic Medical Center
in Florida. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Powers has often
been invited to speak as an expert on diet and nutrition
in both clinical and corporate environments. Living in
accordance with our natural design while experiencing

Eve Plews, licensed
nutritional counselor has served Sarasota, Florida in
her clinic, Full Spectrum Health since 1988. Eve studied
medicinal botany at Northern Arizona University,
received exposure to Traditional Chinese Medicine from
Dr. Ming Ying Zhao in Boulder, Colorado and graduated
from Institute for Functional Medicine. Her homeopathic
training was directed by Luc Chaltin, N.D. Eve is a
food-based clinician incorporating nutrients, herbs and
medical foods to support health and healing. She has
served on the XYMOGEN Board of Advisors since its

Raymond Solano, R.Ph, M.B.A.,
C.C.N. earned his pharmacy degree from Mercer
College of Pharmacy more than 25 years ago and obtained
an M.B.A. from Georgia State University. He attended
nutrition educational training and earned the title,
“Certified Clinical Nutritionist (C.C.N.) from the
International and American Association of Clinical
Nutritionists (“I.A.A.C.N.”), a degree that demands
ongoing training for degree maintenance. Ray is the
co-founder and owner of People’s Pharmacy, Inc, Austin
,TX . Besides applying his administrative skills to his
six-pharmacy operation, Ray also does specialty
compounding and gives professional consultations for
Neuro Spectrum Disorders, Hormone Replacement Therapy
and Oncology. Ray is frequently invited to speak on the
subject of Men’s Health.

Michael B. Schachter, M.D.,
CNS, a 1965 graduate of Columbia P&S (NYC), is
board certified in Psychiatry, a Certified Nutrition
Specialist, and has obtained proficiency in Chelation
Therapy from the American College for Advancement in
Medicine (ACAM). He is the medical director of the
Schachter Center for Complementary Medicine in Suffern,
NY. With almost 35 years experience in integrative
medicine, Dr. Schachter is a recognized leader in
orthomolecular psychiatry and alternative cancer
treatment. He is a past president of ACAM, has authored
numerous articles and has appeared in the media
frequently. His latest book is What Your Doctor May Not
Tell You About Depression (Warner, 2006). The Schachter
Center is participating in the Trial to Assess Chelation
Therapy (TACT), sponsored by the NIH.

Carvel Tiekert, DVM
has over 40 years of clinical experience in Veterinary
Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
from Cornell University in 1963. Dr. Tiekert is
certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Veterinary
Chiropractic and has extensive experience in homeopathy
and homotoxicology, as well as his first love, clinical
nutrition. He has designed nutraceuticals for the
veterinary profession, and at one time owned his own
manufacturing and distribution company. Dr. Tiekert has
also been very involved in organized veterinary
medicine, and is the founder of the American Holistic
Veterinary Medical Association.

Jay Wilson, D.C. attended
Western States Chiropractic College and National College
of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He has
extensive post-graduate training in nutritional,
functional, herbal and Oriental medicine and clinical
kinesiology. He is a certified instructor of clinical
kinesiology and has lectured extensively on various
topics in nutritional and functional medicine. Dr.
Wilson maintains a private practice in Boulder, Colorado
specializing in the evaluation and treatment chronically
ill patients since 1985.

Jack Young,
MD, NMD, MD(H), PhD
Dr. Young practices Complementary, Integrative and
Alternative Medicine (CIAM) in Mount Dora, FL. His
mission: “To Provide People with Clinical and
Educational Resources to Help Themselves Achieve Total
Well Being.” Dr. Young’s history is rich in the academic
and experiential worlds of conventional and CIAM. He was
a: Professor with the University of Oklahoma; graduate
from an 18 month University of Miami, PhD to MD
scholarship program; graduate from their Internal
Medicine residency; board certified Emergency Physician
and Medical Director of Emergency Services at Doctors’
Hospital in Coral Gables, FL; creator of and director of
a Wellness Center in Doctors’ Hospital and a Preventive
and Sports Medicine Physician. Ultimately Dr. Young “saw
the light” and now follows the passion of his heart;
